Capital One is hiring a Director, Assistant General Counsel to advise on legal risks related to its Global Payment Network relationships with issuers, acquirers, and network alliances. The role involves assessing fraud, high brand risk, and network participant oversight; translating laws and regulations into actionable advice; developing participant-facing rules and commercial terms; advising on product rollouts; managing external counsel; and presenting to senior executives, regulators, and policymakers. The position requires a Juris Doctor, an active state bar membership, and at least eight years of attorney experience, with financial services, payments, and fraud or AML experience preferred. It is hybrid, with three days per week in an office, and offers full-time annual salaries ranging from $209,500 to $286,900 depending on location.
