Shield AI is hiring a full-time Mechanical and Thermal Engineering Manager to own the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap for mechanical, thermal, and EWIS engineering across X-BAT flight and ground avionics. The role will build and scale a multi-team organization, establish engineering standards and processes, serve as the final technical authority on mechanical and thermal architecture tradeoffs, and deliver complex electro-mechanical hardware from architecture through qualification and production. The position requires a mechanical or aerospace engineering degree, 15+ years of relevant design experience, 5+ years of people leadership, and the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
