Description

The University of Iowa is seeking a Director, Clinical Functions to lead the administrative and operational activities of its Department of Respiratory Care, with primary oversight at the North Liberty Campus and liaison responsibilities for the Downtown Campus. The role manages leaders, staffing, budgets, quality and patient-satisfaction indicators, strategic planning, clinical education, recruitment pipeline programs, regulatory compliance, service improvement, and collaboration across clinical, research, education, medical, and healthcare leadership functions. Candidates must have a master’s degree or equivalent bachelor’s degree and experience, respiratory care credentials and Iowa licensure, 8–10 years of respiratory care managerial or leadership experience in a tertiary setting, 5–7 years of technical respiratory care experience, professional memberships, CPR certification, strong communication, computer skills, and experience supporting a welcoming and respectful workplace.
