AbbVie is seeking a Computational Chemistry Team Lead to head a global team of 10–12 scientists and matrixed leadership across the broader Synthetic Molecules CMC and Development Sciences organizations. The role will develop and implement computational sciences and AI-enabled drug-discovery strategies, manage projects and team leaders, oversee external research collaborations, guide computational modeling and data management, and lead people development. The position requires a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in a relevant scientific field, extensive related experience including managerial experience leading scientific research teams, a strong publication record, and expertise in quantum mechanics, molecular dynamics, and AI/machine learning.
