PayPal is hiring a senior engineering leader to own and lead its cryptographic platforms, including public key infrastructure, certificate lifecycle management, key management, HSM platforms, cryptographic services, secrets management, and post-quantum readiness. The role provides strategic security counsel, owns the multi-year roadmap, leads managers and engineers across time zones, hires and develops talent, manages regulatory and audit-related risk, and represents cryptography to executive leadership. It requires 10+ years of relevant experience, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience, and 2 years leading others, with a primary location in Scottsdale, Arizona and an annual pay range of $188,000 to $279,400.
