Description
Algolia is hiring an Engineering Director to lead multiple engineering teams or a critical product area, translate company strategy into execution, and build autonomous, high-performing teams. The role owns delivery, operational excellence, engineering best practices, cross-functional roadmaps, and strategic guidance to the CTO and SVP Engineering, while supporting Engineering Managers and contributing to organizational planning. Candidates should have 8–12+ years of engineering experience, including 3–5+ years managing multiple teams or managers, along with experience in distributed systems, APIs, scalable infrastructure, and distributed or global engineering environments. The role offers a base salary of €115,000–€150,000 and may be fully remote, hybrid-remote, or in-office depending on the location.
