Director, Engineering at Campfire

Campfire is hiring Directors of Engineering to lead segments of its ~30-person engineering organization as it scales toward ~100 people. Each Director will own team boundaries, staffing plans, hiring, planning, delivery, engineering standards, incident response, and operational rigor across 3–5 teams and 25–40 engineers. The role reports to the CTO alongside peer Directors and requires substantial software engineering and engineering-management experience, including leading groups of 20+ engineers, managing managers, and operating in fintech, accounting, payments, or ERP systems. The role also involves hands-on interest in production LLMs and agents and familiarity with Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Next.js, and AWS.
