Chime is hiring a Director of Engineering to lead its AI & App Experience (AAX) organization, which owns Jade, the AI platform infrastructure, core app experiences, and the design system. The role owns multi-quarter engineering strategy, technical direction, architecture, hiring and development of technical leaders, cross-functional product planning, operational reliability, and representation in executive forums. Candidates need 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years managing managers or leading multi-team engineering organizations, along with experience building and scaling AI/LLM-powered consumer products. The role offers a base salary of $269,000–$373,000 USD and requires four days per week in the office for employees near a Chime office.
