Description
SMU is hiring an on-campus, in-person Director of Executive Communications to lead the university’s executive communications function. Reporting to the Head of Communications, the role develops speeches, remarks, correspondence, thought leadership, digital content, and major institutional messaging for senior leaders; manages executive communications workflows; coordinates messaging across audiences and platforms; supports media and public engagements; and supervises the executive communications team. The position requires a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a communications-related field, at least eight years of relevant experience, and at least three years managing a communications team. Evening and weekend availability may be required for emergencies.
