Description

The Director of JSU Global International Programs provides strategic and operational leadership for Jackson State University's international education portfolio, overseeing F-1 and J-1 student and scholar support, SEVIS and immigration compliance, study abroad, English as a Second Language programming, the International Visitors Center of Jackson, global exchanges, partnerships, grants, and campus internationalization. Reporting to the Vice President for Research and Economic Development, the role also serves as the university's Principal Designated School Official and Responsible Officer, supervises staff, manages the budget, and coordinates with academic, student affairs, enrollment, and other university offices.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Master's degree in international education, higher education administration, student affairs, public administration, international relations, education, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: At least five years of progressively responsible experience in international education, international student and scholar services, global programs, or related higher education administration
F-1/SEVIS experience and experience as a Designation School Official with PDSO eligibility
Program, personnel, and project management experience
Preferred Qualifications: Doctoral or terminal degree, seven or more years of international education leadership, PDSO or RO experience, J-1, study abroad, ESL, international partnership, and research-university experience
