Description
Unity is hiring a Director of Machine Learning to lead its User Value team and shape the technical roadmap for machine learning models that drive user acquisition and advertiser value. The role manages and scales applied scientists and machine learning engineers, partners with Product, Design, and Data Science, oversees scalable ML systems including personalization, recommendation systems, multi-task learning, reinforcement learning, and large language models, and establishes A/B testing, evaluation, and guardrails. Candidates need at least 8 years of machine learning and software engineering experience, 4 years managing teams, a strong track record shipping ML systems at scale, and an advanced degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience. The base salary ranges from $197,400 to $375,500 USD gross depending on work location, with possible equity and incentive participation.
