GoDaddy is hiring a Director of Engineering to lead its 50+ person distributed engineering organization responsible for authentication, authorization, identity infrastructure, customer profiles, and related platform services. The role owns engineering strategy, sets technical vision, leads multiple senior managers, contributes hands-on to architecture and code, drives adoption of OAuth, OpenID Connect, and OpenFGA, improves incident response and monitoring, and champions secure identity experiences. Candidates need 10+ years of software engineering experience, 8+ years leading engineering teams, strong identity and security expertise, and proficiency in a modern backend language such as Java or Python. The position is USA remote or hybrid, with compensation ranging from $165,500 to $323,000 USD depending on location.
