Director of Engineering at SMTC Corporation

SMTC Corporation is hiring a Director of Engineering to provide strategic, technical, and hands-on leadership for a site engineering organization. The role oversees engineering activities across new product introduction, sustaining production, product and process engineering, manufacturing systems, technical documentation, customer engagements, and manufacturing readiness. Responsibilities include leading multidisciplinary engineering teams, resolving complex technical challenges, improving quality, cost, delivery, productivity, and equipment effectiveness, managing engineering budgets and technical resources, and ensuring compliance with customer, industry, quality, and regulatory requirements. The position requires a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, at least 10 years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience, and at least 5 years of engineering leadership experience.
