GitLab is hiring a Director of Engineering, Security Factory to lead a distributed engineering organization responsible for customer-facing security capabilities across its AI-powered DevSecOps platform. The role sets the engineering vision and roadmap for nine teams, leads managers and individual contributors, owns proprietary scanners, AI-driven detection and remediation systems, vulnerability management, and security research, and partners with product management on delivery and requirements. The position requires experience leading distributed engineering organizations, application security, scanning systems, and customer-facing AI or machine learning products, and is fully remote.
