Description
The Engineering Technologies Department Chair leads Marion Technical College’s Engineering Technologies programs by teaching courses, developing curriculum, assessing student learning, managing departmental operations, supervising faculty and staff, coordinating partnerships, and administering the departmental budget. The role requires significant professional engineering experience, preferably a master’s degree in engineering, and includes grant management, accreditation oversight, and an expected teaching load of 16 workload hours per academic year. The position is primarily office- and classroom-based and requires the ability to work in a prison facility, pass background checks, and hold a valid driver’s license or dependable transportation.
