Description
The Director of Estimating leads the estimating function for 5K Power's UL Manufacturing business unit and oversees cost estimates and proposals for electrical prefabrication, skidding, temporary power solutions, and UL-listed panels, switchboards, switchgear, and control panel assemblies. The role manages and develops an estimating team, establishes standardized estimating processes, reviews complex bids, validates constructability and UL compliance, maintains pricing databases, analyzes variances, supports negotiations, and reports estimating KPIs. It requires at least seven years of estimating experience in electrical panel or switchgear manufacturing, including two years in a leadership or supervisory capacity, along with knowledge of UL standards, electrical schematics, financial analysis, and estimating software.
