Skyways is seeking a Director of Hardware to lead the execution of aircraft hardware from design to production, testing, and field reliability. This hands-on leadership role involves working closely with various departments to transform designs into operational aircraft and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in shipping complex hardware systems, leading hardware teams, and having a strong background in avionics or electromechanical platforms, particularly in UAVs or defense programs. They should also possess comfort in fast-paced environments with tight schedules and mission constraints, and willingness to engage physically during operations. Bonus points include experience scaling hardware production and startup experience.
