Description

Google is hiring a senior engineering leader to scale its SecOps engineering organization, lead the Agentic SOC initiative, and oversee the migration from F1/Spanner to BigQuery. The role defines technical strategy, partners with product and research teams, builds and mentors a global engineering team, and requires extensive software development, technical leadership, distributed systems, cybersecurity, and global organization experience. The position offers a US salary of $364,000–$505,000 plus a 40% bonus target, equity, and benefits, with work locations in Sunnyvale, Reston, Seattle, or Washington, D.C.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Required Previous Experiences: 15 years of software development experience, including 5 years in technical leadership
Experience leading and managing software engineering teams
Experience in AI/ML, platform development, distributed systems, or cybersecurity
Experience leading global organizations
Preferred Qualifications: Experience leading massive, mission-critical data or infrastructure migrations to BigQuery or similar cloud data warehouses
Experience driving AI-driven product features and autonomous system development
Experience setting long-term technical vision and strategy for a product area
Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders from individual contributors to senior executives
