Comstock Companies is hiring a Director of Pre-Construction & Powered Land Opportunities to lead data center site selection, land acquisition, utility interconnection, entitlements, and early pre-construction planning. The role covers sourcing and underwriting powered land, securing transmission and power capacity, negotiating interconnection and power purchase agreements, evaluating alternative power solutions, coordinating engineering and site development, and obtaining zoning and environmental approvals. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or development field, at least eight years of experience in data center real estate, pre-construction, or utility infrastructure, and a proven record of securing tens to hundreds of megawatts of powered land. The position offers a Virginia salary range of $190,000 to $230,000 USD, medical, dental, and vision benefits, and 10%–25% travel.
