Description

Pratham USA is hiring a full-time, exempt Director, Principal Gifts to report to the CEO and manage a portfolio of high-net-worth donors and prospects capable of making $100,000 or more. The role focuses on cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding principal-level philanthropy, developing major-gift strategies and products, coordinating donor engagement, and supporting six- and seven-figure gifts. It includes approximately 50% travel, primarily within the United States, and offers a salary of $160,000–$190,000 with benefits and paid time off. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree, 12–15 years of major-gift fundraising experience, and proficiency with Salesforce or a similar CRM.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 12–15 years of fundraising experience managing major and principal donor relationships
Securing $100,000+ gifts and building high-net-worth donor relationships
Developing and scaling major and principal gift programs
Managing donor portfolios and advancing prospects through cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
Partnering with executive leaders, board members, peers, and volunteers on fundraising goals
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree
Experience in international nonprofits, global organizations, or cross-border philanthropy
Familiarity with India or South Asia
