Description
Scale Microgrids is hiring a Director to lead a team providing power systems engineering expertise for off-grid and grid-tied microgrids and data centers. The role reports to the Chief Technology Officer, may be remote, and prefers a hybrid arrangement from Ridgewood, New Jersey; New York City; Santa Monica; or Oakland, California. Responsibilities include developing core technologies, establishing engineering standards, reviewing electrical designs and control sequences, overseeing relay protection and power systems analysis, defining technical roadmaps, coordinating project staffing, and mentoring team members. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of power systems experience, including 3+ years leading technical teams, and expertise in distributed energy technologies, medium-voltage switchgear, power systems analysis, transformer design, and interconnection requirements.
