Description

Yahoo is hiring a senior engineering leader to build, lead, and scale full-stack engineering teams for its consumer Yahoo Mail product. The role owns engineering vision and roadmap, drives AI-native software development and AI transformation initiatives, partners with product and business leaders, and fosters technical excellence and talent development. Candidates need extensive large-scale consumer software experience, multiple engineering-team leadership experience, AI and generative-AI expertise, and strong distributed-systems and cloud-native architecture knowledge. The position offers flexible hybrid work and compensation of $160,965 to $349,885 per year, with possible bonus or commission opportunities.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Required Previous Experiences: 10+ years building and delivering large-scale consumer software products
At least 5+ years leading multiple engineering teams and engineering managers
Experience leading AI-native product organizations or large-scale AI transformation programs in consumer technology
Experience operating in an AI-native development environment and using AI technologies, copilots, agents, and automation
Experience integrating generative AI, large language models, machine learning, or intelligent agent systems
Preferred Qualifications: Experience building, scaling, or modernizing email, messaging, communications, or productivity platforms serving millions of users
Recognized thought leadership in AI strategy, engineering productivity, platform modernization, or organizational transformation
