Workday is hiring a Director of Software Engineering, Platforms PE to lead a global team of approximately 60 engineers, engineering managers, and architects across California, Atlanta, Dublin, and Chennai. Reporting to the VP of Platforms and based on-site at the Pleasanton headquarters, the role will partner with Product Management to build an agent-ready developer experience and delivery system, scaling build, test, and release infrastructure for an autonomous agentic development lifecycle. The position requires extensive software engineering leadership and platform experience, including CI/CD, container and cloud infrastructure, testing engines, observability, and global engineering organization management. The primary location is Pleasanton, California, with additional US locations, and the annualized base salary range is $244,000 to $366,000 USD.
