Mastercard is seeking a Director, Software Engineering to lead multiple engineering teams and managers while setting technology direction for secure, reliable, and scalable payment-network capabilities. The role owns delivery outcomes, engineering culture, quality and reliability standards, risk communication, and cross-functional partnerships with Product, Architecture, Operations, Security, and other programs. It requires experience leading software engineering teams, large-scale platforms, modern software practices, Java, Spring Boot, microservices, APIs, event-driven systems, cloud-native delivery, CI/CD, and observability, along with a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
