Capital One is hiring a Director, Software Engineering (Network Platform) to lead network design and transformation toward an intent-based network architecture, automate complex technology landscapes, standardize configurations, consolidate vendor functions, and integrate agentic AI. The role manages and grows product-focused software engineering teams, mentors engineers, works with product managers, improves engineering practices, and leads full-stack development, application deployment, microservice architecture, and AWS environments. It requires a bachelor’s degree, at least seven years of software development and network engineering and architecture experience, and at least five years of people management experience.
