Description
The Dismantler dismantles vehicles in an automotive recycling operation, removes reusable parts, sorts and categorizes them for resale or recycling, maintains a safe and organized work area, documents the process, and reports issues. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic automotive knowledge, mechanical aptitude, and safe use of hand and power tools; vehicle dismantling or automotive repair experience is preferred. Compensation is piecework or per vehicle dismantled, ranging from $1,600 to more than $2,500 biweekly, with experienced dismantlers typically earning more than $3,000 biweekly.
