Description
The Transit Dispatcher assigns and monitors transit operators, vehicles, equipment, trips, and service disruptions; maintains attendance and trip logs; provides customer and directional assistance; and coordinates with operations, safety, and maintenance staff during emergencies or vehicle malfunctions. The role requires at least two years of radio or window dispatch experience, a valid driver license, strong organization and communication skills, the ability to work any shift in a 24/7 environment, and successful drug and alcohol screening, background checks, and a physical examination.
