Dispatcher at Temple

Temple University's Public Safety Department is hiring multiple Dispatchers to receive, screen, prioritize, and process calls from the public and police personnel; collect and disseminate incident information; dispatch appropriate resources; enter situation codes and details into computer systems; and protect sensitive materials. The role requires APCO Call Taker and Emergency Dispatcher certifications to be maintained during employment, a valid driver's license, criminal-history and extensive background checks, drug and physical screening, and at least a high school diploma or equivalent. Strong communication, customer service, writing, organization, composure under pressure, prioritization, memorization, and computer-monitoring skills are required.
