Fortaegis is hiring a Distributed Network Engineer to serve as a staff-level technical anchor across networking, security, and distributed systems. The role owns large-scale routing, switching, control-plane, QoS, traffic-shaping, and network-security architecture; designs systems processing PB-scale data with multi-tenant isolation and high availability; and drives cross-organizational technical strategy. The position requires extensive distributed-systems, cloud, and telecom-networking experience, strong Rust/Go backend skills, Kubernetes and cloud-platform expertise, and the ability to author RFCs and align engineering teams. It is based in Amsterdam with cross-regional collaboration.
