Description
Xcel Energy is hiring a Distribution Planning Engineer to develop near- and mid-term electric distribution system plans, conduct power flow, hosting capacity, capacity, and load forecasting analyses, plan capacity expansion projects, evaluate non-wires alternatives and distributed energy resource integration, and support regulatory filings and planning standards. The role is available at entry, staff, senior, or principal engineer levels, with level and compensation based on qualifications. It requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited curriculum; experience requirements range from 0+ years at entry level to 9+ years with PE registration at principal level.
