Description
FirstEnergy is hiring a Planning & Protection Engineer for its Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company subsidiary. The role provides technical expertise for planning, protection, and reliability of Ohio distribution systems, including power system analysis, distribution switching and protection studies, relay settings, load and capacity studies, outage analysis, and support for storm restoration and customer interconnection projects. The position is onsite at an available service center or office in the FirstEnergy Ohio service territory, excluding Marion, Springfield, and Mansfield, and requires an electrical engineering degree or acceptable alternative plus 0–5 years of engineering experience. The estimated base salary is $79,500–$126,000, with medical, dental, vision, prescription drug, life insurance, pension, 401(k), and tuition reimbursement benefits.
