Description
The EEI System Operator/Power Dispatcher (SOPD II) monitors and controls electrical distribution system operations, directs switching by field technicians and troubleshooters, coordinates customer outages and emergency restoration, maintains outage information, and complies with NERC, WECC, and District operating policies. The role requires a bachelor's or associate's degree in a related field plus substantial electric systems experience, with equivalent experience substituting for education at a two-to-one ratio. A pre-employment test, veteran-preference documentation for external applicants, and a negative drug test are also required.
