FirstEnergy is hiring a Regional Distribution System Operator for an open, full-time, on-site position in Akron, Ohio. The role monitors regional distribution system operations, responds to system disturbances, authorizes outages and load transfers, directs switching activities, coordinates emergency staffing, and supports customer and field operations. It requires rotating 24/7 coverage, including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends, with applicable shift differentials. Candidates must pass the Edison Electric Institute System Operator/Power Dispatching Test and may have an associate's degree or related certification, or 2–4 years of related work experience.
