Description
The Distribution Systems Tech performs maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and operational support on steam and chilled-water distribution piping systems in tunnels, trenches, manholes, and customer premises. Responsibilities include welding, fabricating, locating underground facilities, repairing valves and expansion joints, taking meter readings, coordinating with contractors and customers, organizing parts inventory, and reporting equipment conditions. The role requires at least one year of plant operations, maintenance, or engineering experience and one year of district energy experience, along with a valid state driver’s license; welding experience and certification are preferred. The work involves outdoor and plant environments, extended hours, occasional travel, and use of personal protective equipment.
