Description
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is seeking a senior district construction engineering leader to oversee construction inspection staff, managers, project managers, and highway construction activities across an assigned geographic region. The role manages transportation project budgets, schedules, contracts, quality improvement, constructability reviews, stakeholder communications, and staff development while serving as the responsible charge engineer for highway construction functions. Success requires advanced transportation and highway engineering knowledge, construction and contract administration expertise, leadership and supervisory ability, project scheduling and management skills, and a valid Professional Engineer license and driver's license.
