Description
The City of Essen is hiring a District Construction Manager for its Department 66 – Office for Roads and Traffic. The permanent role can be filled full-time or part-time and covers road construction and road maintenance projects, including preparation, tendering, construction management, invoicing, coordination with external parties, traffic-safety assessment, damage-report response, and inspection of public traffic areas. Candidates need civil engineering education or relevant construction or road-maintenance training plus at least two years of professional experience, along with knowledge of road-construction regulations, MS Office, communication skills, a Class B driving licence, German language skills, and willingness to work outside regular hours.
