MassDOT is hiring a District Permits Engineer to oversee the review and issuance of highway access permits, supervise civil engineering and field staff, coordinate with consultants, developers, agencies, and officials, resolve permit-related conflicts, review environmental and traffic impacts, approve permit records, and manage lane-closure requests. The role requires at least five years of civil engineering experience, including professional and supervisory experience, with education substitutions permitted under the stated rules. A $5,000 signing bonus is available to newly hired employees.
