Description
The District Purchasing Officer plans, organizes, and coordinates the District’s purchasing and procurement operations, including goods, services, equipment, bids, contracts, purchase orders, vendor management, inventory control, and warehouse operations. The role also provides technical support for accounting and fiscal functions, monitors budgets and expenditures, ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and supervises assigned staff. Applicants need a bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field plus four years of increasingly responsible purchasing experience, including one year of technical and functional supervision; bilingual English-Spanish proficiency is preferred.
