Description
The Billing and Collection Specialist handles patient accounts after medical services are rendered, coordinates with patients and health plans, verifies patient information, manages clinical documentation, appeals and denials, responds to health-plan inquiries, follows up on aging accounts, generates collection reports, and resolves delinquent accounts. The role requires 1–2 years of DME collection experience and 2–3 years of healthcare billing and coding support experience in home care services, along with communication, computer, and time-management skills; bilingual Spanish and Medical Biller/Coder certification are preferred or desired.
