Description
Saia is hiring a Dock Supervisor to oversee terminal operations, including freight sorting, handling, loading, and unloading. The role manages dockworkers, evaluates their performance, conducts regulatory inspections, trains staff on safety and equipment use, reviews operational reports, and maintains a safe and organized dock environment. Candidates must be at least 18, have a high school diploma or GED, be authorized to work in the United States, and be able to read, write, communicate, and comprehend English. Preferred qualifications include at least five years of warehouse, freight, dock, forklift, or pallet-jack experience, prior supervisory experience, DOT and safety knowledge, forklift or hazmat training, and strong attention to detail. The position involves physically demanding work, including lifting freight up to 100 pounds, operating equipment, and working varying schedules.
