Description
The Dockmaster is a senior, full-time, on-site shipyard operations role responsible for planning, coordinating, and safely executing vessel docking, undocking, berthing, drydock, and waterfront activities at Hanwha Philly Shipyard. The position leads critical vessel evolutions, coordinates tugboats, line handlers, marine services, contractors, and shipyard departments, manages resources and operational risks, supports U.S. Navy and NAVSEA docking readiness, and provides leadership and mentorship to waterfront personnel. It requires at least 10 years of progressively responsible shipyard, drydock, or marine operations experience and 5 years of direct NAVSEA or U.S. Navy docking experience; NAVSEA Dockmaster qualification is preferred. The role may require night, weekend, holiday, and emergency work.
