Lund University is hiring a doctoral student in biomedical engineering to join an interdisciplinary research project investigating the physical mechanisms of dolphin echolocation. The role involves measuring acoustic properties of tissues, developing three-dimensional finite-element models, collecting and analysing acoustic, mechanical, and anatomical data, using MATLAB and COMSOL, collaborating across scientific disciplines, and publishing research results. The position is based at the Department of Biomedical Engineering and may include up to 20% teaching or departmental work.
