Description
The position is a fixed-term, full-time doctoral research project investigating light-ion emission in neutron-induced reactions across a broad neutron-energy range. The work involves experiments at GANIL’s Neutrons for Science facility using the Medley setup, simulation and optimization of experimental systems, measurement campaigns, data analysis, and interpretation with nuclear reaction codes such as TALYS. The project contributes to nuclear data, reaction-model validation, and applications for structural materials in nuclear and radiation environments. Applicants need a relevant second-cycle degree or equivalent knowledge, physics and radiation-detection knowledge, programming experience, independent and collaborative working skills, English communication skills, and willingness to conduct research stays abroad.
