Description
Cummins is seeking active-duty military members participating in the DoW SkillBridge program to fill Diesel Technician or Power Generation Technician roles at alternate locations across the United States. The non-paid internship requires 40 hours per week, completion of 8 weeks to 6 months, and the ability to learn on the job. Candidates should have an interest in diesel mechanics or heavy equipment repair, basic engine diagnostics and mechanical repair knowledge, familiarity with heavy equipment, schematic and manual-reading ability, tool and electrical troubleshooting skills, physical ability to lift and operate machinery safely, and strong communication and teamwork skills. Dealership experience or hands-on mechanical background is preferred. Full-time employment after SkillBridge may offer a base salary commensurate with experience and benefits such as retirement plans, medical, dental, life insurance, and a health savings account.
