Description
The D242 Driller reports to the Outside Machinist organization in the Groton Shipyard and is responsible for all shipboard drilling tasks for submarine mechanical components, including both nuclear and non-nuclear work. This role also involves limited shop work across various parts of a submarine, such as inside the hull, exterior, tanks, and confined spaces. The driller must perform precise drilling using portable equipment in challenging environments like those found in a shipyard.
