Description
The Class A CDL Driver delivers building materials and other supplies to customer sites, operates delivery vehicles and truck-trailer combinations weighing more than 26,000 pounds, may tow vehicles or trailers over 10,000 pounds, and may load or unload materials. The role includes verifying orders, maintaining delivery logs, handling customer concerns, performing vehicle safety checks, completing hours-of-service and DOT documentation, and operating forklifts or non-motorized material-handling equipment. Applicants need a high school diploma or GED, to be at least 21, hold a valid driver’s license and Class A CDL, pass an MVR, obtain a DOT medical card, and have fewer than five moving violations in the last five years; one year of delivery driving experience is required and two years of CDL experience are strongly preferred.
