Description
Lockheed Martin Space is hiring a full-time Class A Vehicle Operator at its Courtland, Alabama facility. The role operates Class A and B commercial motor vehicles, including truck tractors and trailers, to transport parts, materials, flight hardware, equipment, tools, calibrated instruments, classified hardware, and hazardous materials between company facilities, test sites, customers, subcontractors, and vendors. The operator also may operate box trucks and forklifts, plans and secures loads, selects appropriate trailers, determines routes, handles DOT paperwork, and performs pre- and post-trip inspections. An active Class A CDL, forklift experience, material-handling and load-securement experience, scanner and computer proficiency, trailer experience, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance are required; Haz-mat endorsement, a pilot or escort license, team-drive experience, and DOT/FMCSA knowledge are desired. The salary range is $42,700 to $79,300, with medical, dental, vision, flexible work arrangements, retirement matching, paid time off, and other benefits.
