Description
The Patient Access Representative obtains authorizations and managed-care referrals for outpatient encounters, verifies benefits, performs pre-certification for elective and emergency admissions, obtains Notices of Admissions, and may assist with pre-registration, order entry, and other patient access tasks. The role requires a high school or GED, strong communication skills, and familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and CPT coding; recent healthcare experience is preferred. It is scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with 80 hours per pay period, and offers a minimum starting rate of $17.64.
