The role involves complex digital physical design across multiple stages, interpreting schematics, building and verifying layout hierarchies, debugging CAD tools, and collaborating with circuit, SoC, and cross-site design teams. Candidates need a bachelor's or master's degree in electronic, microelectronic, computer, or a related engineering discipline, at least three years of layout design experience, and familiarity with VLSI and CMOS logic; UNIX shell scripting, TCL, and Perl are also listed.
