SIFT is seeking an experienced Early Engineer to join their team in Marina del Rey, CA. The successful candidate will design, build, and maintain scalable, resilient infrastructure solutions, collaborating with software engineers to optimize application performance and reliability. Responsibilities also include implementing monitoring, alerting, and logging systems, automating deployment processes, evolving backend architecture, setting roadmaps, and leading initiatives to improve infrastructure reliability, performance, and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate has extensive distributed systems experience, hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, and good knowledge of cloud, on-prem, networking, and service architecture in multi-region multi-cloud setups. They should be passionate about building developer productivity tools and able to thrive in an early-stage startup environment.
